The most important thing in generating income from your website is a steady flow of website traffic. You need to increase web traffic to your site. If no one goes to your site, you have little chance of making any money. Many sites have tried and failed miserably, and many had a great product and great content, but still failed. This never has to happen to you, not anymore! It takes time, education, blood, sweat, and some tears to get traffic to your website!

BUT, it isn’t impossible to get traffic, although I know it seems like it is some times! To get website traffic you need to do certain things, do them consistently, and stick to it. The biggest problem that most people have is that they try something and if they don’t see results quickly, they give up.

Don’t do this. Pick one technique, such as article marketing; get good at doing it and keep doing it. Once you start to see results, don’t stop doing what’s working. Keep doing it; in fact do more of it. Then you can start to work on other ways to get website traffic.

Listen to my story and see if any of this sounds familiar. Whenever I started learning how to get more traffic to my sites, I did a little of everything and a whole lot of nothing! Hours would go by; I was always fighting the clock to get something accomplished. At the end of the day, week, or month… I was no further along then when I started.

I wrote a couple of articles and submitted them to article submission sites. I needed to write many articles, not a couple. I would start an AdWords campaign, lose some money, and stop the campaign, only to try the same campaign again the following week! Then I would create a lens on Squidoo, figuring that I had to get traffic from that, right? Well, after a few weeks nobody even knew that my lens existed! Google definitely didn’t know that it existed.

I thought, “I guess I must be doing something wrong, maybe everything wrong!” Well, I was doing some things right, some wrong, but the main thing is that I wasn’t consistently doing anything. Soon as I started down one path of becoming a website traffic stud, I would get an email from the guru of the month telling me that if I only got their $27, $47, or $97 product… it would make all my traffic dreams come true. Well, every course has some good information, but most had the same stuff that I was reading from everybody else’s courses. Nothing new and the cost always ended with a 7. Why not charge $28 just to be different?

Well, there is a bright side to all of this for you. You don’t have to do what I did… just do what I do. Get it? Don’t make the same mistakes that I did, just follow what I am doing now. Getting website traffic is about doing a bunch of little things consistently and staying focused.

I spent years banging my head into walls trying to get more traffic to my sites, with little progress. I finally got on the right track and started to see some amazing results. What changed? What made all of the difference? Not much, really! Just some simple steps that you can do just as easy.
