Bookmarking Your Articles and Blogs For SEO

Social bookmarking and article marketing have become two of the key ingredients in getting up the Google ladder. Ever noticed that when you do a search in Google, Yahoo, MSN or any other of the major search engines, that you will often find an article listed in the top ten search results. In fact, most of the time you will find several articles listed in the top ten.

Most internet marketers and writers know that if they write something and it gets accepted into one of the major article submission directories, it stands a good chance to get listed fairly highly in the search results. They work great to get you short quick bursts of traffic and linking from your article to your personal site or blog is a great way to get backlinks that are relevant, (just don’t spam). The problem is that they fade fast and although the link is still valuable the direct traffic slows.

That’s where bookmarks come into the picture. By harnessing the power of social bookmarking with your articles you can keep your article ranked for longer in the search engines. Social bookmarking links each count for a valuable backlink not only to your own sites or blogs, but also to the articles you write on other sites. This might sound like your promoting someone else’s site, (you are) but you are also promoting the article you wrote which in turn might get you more traffic to your own site. That is, if the readers like the content.

So in short always provide great content to your readers to keep them interested, bookmark your content on not only your own site but also the content you provide on other sites, and you should enjoy the benefits of your hard or not so hard work!
