Driving traffic to your website is essential to your success in internet network marketing. There are two ways to drive traffic to your website, free and paid. To many times we only focus on one method of lead generation, which is usually the paid form advertising and most of that is PPC.

There is only one real reason why network marketers prefer paid advertising over free advertising and that is instant gratification and results. With pay-per-click advertising we can see within 24 hours if our marketing efforts are going to be good enough to make profits.

With free advertising such as article marketing you have to consistently write content to distribute articles to directories. The results come little by little definitely not a ton of click-thrus overnight, but done with consistency you can flood the Internet with articles resulting in a significant amount of traffic to expose to your network marketing business.

But with free advertising it takes a lot of time to see the results that you want to see and there is definitely not any instant gratification. This is why most network marketers don’t use free advertising methods because it takes too much time with little results.

This is good news for the ones who don’t mind taking an hour or two out of the day to write an article to share knowledge that someone else may have an appetite for that could change the course of their business for the better and establishing you as their expert.

By this point they may even join your business putting more money into your pocket. Who says free advertising doesn’t pay?
