When I started online I kept hearing the term SEO, I had no idea what it was and two years later I wish I would have learned SEO from the start, instead of being a slow learner on this topic. For those who don’t know SEO = search engine optimization, basically its optimizing your webpage so that it will get higher rankings in search engines, which equates to more people visiting your webpage. And if you have done things right, convert those visitors into paying customers, or whatever the goal of your website is.

1.) SEO is free traffic, there are no advertising cost associated with SEO

2.) Helps build a “long term” presence online.

a. If you turn off your PPC campaign your webpage disappears. This is not the case with SEO

3.) If don’t correctly you can get free 100% targeted traffic

4.) Correct SEO has a snow ball effect and you can see traffic double and even triple in a short amount of time

5.) Once you learn SEO, you will be able to use it to easily rank for “fad” search terms, which can get your huge amounts of traffic

Those are just 5 easy reasons why you should never ignore SEO, but there are many other reasons that I haven’t even talked about in this article. If you don’t know anything about SEO, go find all the free material you can on the subject and become a master or SEO, the results easily pay for themselves. Just remember that it’s free, and the traffic never stop and the longer you work at it the more results you will see.
